From Dreams to Reality: My Journey to Empowerment
As a haemophiliac, the thrill of sports like rugby was a distant dream for me. A big guy with no biceps and being a haemophiliac, I was told my dreams were too far-fetched. But life has a way of turning dreams on their head. My path led me from the confines of a wheelchair to the summit of Kilimanjaro, with crutches as my companions. This journey taught me invaluable lessons in resilience, perseverance, and the relentless pursuit of goals.
From the Sidelines to the Heart of the Game
Although I never played rugby, fate had a unique plan. I was called upon by teams like SWD Eagles, the Lions Women's team, and ultimately, the Southern Kings. Working alongside the now Springbok assistant coach Deon Davids , we focused on building a Winning Team culture of peak performance and mental strength. And guess what? We made the improbable a reality. The Southern Kings celebrated their best season, triumphing over top teams like the Bluebulls, Sharks, Warratahs and nearly reaching the quarterfinals.
In the Dressing Room of Success
My experience in the dressing room, amidst professional players, was more than just a dream come true. It was a preparation for my mission: to help companies forge a culture of peak performance, strong values, and strategies to conquer their seemingly impossible goals.
